University Rover Challenge

Student teams build a rover for Mars-inspired tasks, integrating mechanics, embedded systems, sensing and mission control. The 2027 final is scheduled for 2–5 June at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah. Registration and technical qualification rules must also be followed.

Who can take part?

University team, rover and 2027 technical rules; travel planning is needed for the US final.

How to prepare

Assign mechanical, electronic and software roles. Start with simulation and reserve time for subsystem and integrated mission tests.
